I – VAG Common Platform – MQB Platform
The most widely used common platform in the world is the VW Group’s MQB platform. MQB i.e. german “Modularer Querbaukasten” and English “Modular Transverse Matrix” with the opening of this acronym can be translated as “Modular Transverse Mold”.

The MQB partner platform is divided into 5 different sections;
- Front axle – front bumper interchange : Variable
- Front axle – between pedal set : Fixed

- Rear axle – rear bumper interchange : Variable
- Width : Variable
As can be seen, the MQB common platform can be extended and shortened to all measurements, including the distance between the front axle and the pedals, and the width. MLB is available in German with the “Modularer Längsbaukasten” and English “Longitudinal Matrix” with the opening. MLB’s Turkish equivalent is used in models with “Modular Longitudinal Mold” and longitudinal motor placement. Audi first started using this platform in 2007 on the Audi A5. Then, respectively, the Audi A4, Q5, A7, A6, Porsche Macan and 2. the generation Audi Q7 has also been used. The VW Phideon was produced in 2016 and sold in the Chinese market.

This is how the vag group’s platforms are. These two common platforms are used in the vast majority of vw group brands and models of this common platform, which is used in models with front-wheel drive (optional 4×4) and transverse engine placement in the VW Group.
